Many people who are treated with Belkyra will see a visible improvement in their profile in just 2-4 treatments. Some patients may require 6 treatments for optimal results. No downtime is required however post treatment swelling can last for up to 2 weeks. The timeline for visible results can vary depending on the treatment plan. On average, a patient undergoing 4treatments can expect to see optimal results 5-6 months following their first treatment.
Belkyra is the first and only Health Canada approved injectable treatment that targets and eliminates fat cells under the chin. The treatment itself can take just 15-20 minutes, however multiple treatments are typically required. At Solomon Facial Plastic, we will design a treatment plan for you so that you can achieve your desired goal.
Neck Liposuction is the gold standard for the permanent reduction of fat under the chin. Neck Liposuction however, is a surgical procedure that requires local anesthetic, downtime, incisions and potential scarring. Neck Liposuction can potentially eliminate 80% of the fat targeted and only one procedure is required. Patients undergoing neck liposuction will require one week of downtime and up to 3 months to see optimal results.
Coolsculpting has become one of the most popular non-invasive procedures at the SFP Medispa due to its ease, convenience, lack of downtime and of course, its results. Coolsculpting under the chin requires 45 minutes using the Coolsculpting cool-mini applicator with a minimum of 2 treatment cycles in one sitting. If needed, the area can be retreated 6 weeks later. Optimal results can be seen 12 weeks following your initial Coolsculpting treatment. Patients may experience some mild swelling and redness for up to 48 hours following their Coolsculpting treatment. Mild numbness under the chin can last for up to 2 weeks depending on the individual.
