  • What Type Of Pigment Lesions Can PICOSURE Remove?

    PICOSURE aesthetic laser treatment can remove unwanted pigment such as age spots, freckles, brown patches and tattoos.

  • How Many PICOSURE Treatments Will I Need?

    At Solomon Facial Plastic, we offer skin consultations to assess your skin and recommend a personalized treatment plan just for you. Patients may require 3-5 PICOSURE laser treatments with a 2-4 week gap in between sessions. Darker lesions may require additional treatments and up to 8 weeks between sessions.

  • Is PICOSURE Painful?

    Most patients experience minimal discomfort when being treated with PICOSURE for skin rejuvenation and anti-aging. No numbing cream or anaesthesia is required. Tattoo removal with PICOSURE technology may be considered slightly painful depending on ones’ pain tolerance, and has been equivalent to the experience when getting the tattoo.

  • What Will My Skin Look Like Immediately After PICOSURE?

    Most patients can return to their regular routine immediately following their PICOSURE treatment. The treated are may be tender with temporary redness and swelling that typically resolves within one hour, however it may last up to 24 hours in some cases. You will be provided with post-care instructions following your PICOSURE treatment

  • Are There Any Side Effects From PICOSURE?

    If using PICOSURE to treat acne scars, the treated area may whiten during treatment, then darken over the following 24 hours before shedding a few days later. If you have a sun tan or have used topical tanning treatments, you may also experience whitening to the treated area or skin sensitivity.

  • How Do I Prepare For My PICOSURE Laser Treatment?

    All retinol products must be eliminated from your skin care routine for at least 2 weeks prior to your PICOSURE laser treatment. Sun exposure and topical tanning treatments such as spray tans should also be avoided for 2-4 weeks prior to your treatment.

  • Am I A Candidate For PICOSURE?

    If you have sun spots that appear as flat areas of discoloration that are various shades of brown, age spots, freckles, fine lines and wrinkles around your eyes and mouth, then you are a candidate for PICOSURE laser treatment.
