At our clinic, Dr Solomon uses Canfield Imaging System – Mirror Aesthetic Simulation Software, which is an advanced computer imaging allows him to take patient photos and manipulate the images to show potential facial plastic surgery results. This imaging software is particularly helpful in the preoperative planning for Rhinoplasty surgery and chin implant surgery. Dr. Solomon believes that the process of taking patient photos and morphing them with the patient allows for ideal communication. While the software cannot guarantee exact result, it can help ensure all patients and our Cosmetic Facial Surgeon share a common surgical goal.
After the imaging is complete, Dr. Solomon will print a patient copy of the imaging and keep a copy to review on the operating day. In general, most patients feel that their actual post-surgery results are very close to their imaging results. Some patients, who are considering cosmetic surgery may not be totally sure a particular procedure is right for them. This video demonstrates the new imaging software called Reveal from Canfield systems. It is a computer imaging software that takes high resolution photos and demonstrates areas of aging and sun damaged skin. The software allows the Facial Plastic Surgeon – Otolaryngologist Head and Neck Surgeon or Dermatologist to demonstrate to patients areas of the face that have hyperpigmentation “brown spots” as well as areas of hypervascularity “red spots”. By taking these images one can plan treatments effectively. At Solomon facial Plastic Surgery Centre Red spots or vascular lesions are treated with vascular laser treatments or the Elman Surgitron device. Areas of sun damaged skin with brown pigment are treated with the Active FX Ultrapulse fractionated Co2 laser. After treatment photos should be taken to allow an objective measurement of results over time.
