I have a very gummy smile. Do I have any options?
I have a very gummy smile. Do I have any options?
There are certainly a number of options available. Surgical treatment options include frenulectomy, which basically lowers your upper lip by a few millimeters. Other options include small doses of Botox which can be placed in the upper lip, lip enhancement as well as cosmetic dental options.
Cosmetic dental options available with Dr. Habsha at Prosthodontic Associates located in Toronto, Ontario, Canada include minor gum surgery in combination with cosmetic porcelain veneers or crowns can greatly improve your situation.

I have a gummy smile as a result of a short upper lip. I can’t close my lips without effort.
I also have a very big nose. If i make my nose smaller will it lower my upper lip?
Are they more ways to make the lip longer (maybe stretching it every day) ?
Please help!

With reduction rhinoplasty the upper lip may become longer. The upper lip can be held up by a high nasal bridge this is called a tension tip. If the bridge is lowered the tip of the nose can become less tense and drop a bit.
When the tip of the nose drops the upper lip may also become less Tense.
This can relax the upper lip and reduce the gummy smile. Stretching ones upper lip will not help. You are welcome to email photos through quick contact for an opinion.
