A Rise in Rhinoplasty Surgery in Patients Who Have Undergone Laser Eye Surgery
There seems to be a dramatic rise in patients seeking rhinoplasty after undergoing laser eye surgery. Patients who wore glasses for years are aware that they appear different without them. While most patients are thrilled to lose their glasses after refractive surgery, certain people feel self conscious about their appearance after losing their glasses. There seems to be two factors leading to this rise in post laser eye surgery rhinoplasty phenomenon. It appears that certain patients with a larger nose become more concerned about their nasal proportion after they lose their glasses. Patients tell me that “their glasses used to cover up their nose and it was less of an issue for them”. The second factor contributing to the rise in post eye surgery rhinoplasty is that these patients seem comfortable having corrective nasal surgery after undergoing prior successful corrective eye surgery.
Beautiful Earlobes
Dr. Solomon has noticed a dramatic increase in patients looking to reduce the size of their earlobes. In the past I performed ear lobe reduction with facelifts but now patients are seeking this procedure on its own. I have many patients tell me that the size and shape of their earlobes is too large and hangs down. Reduction of the earlobe size is carried out in my office with the aid of my C02 laser. We cut out a portion of the lobe and then repair it with tiny sutures. Patients generally have almost no downtime. With women wearing beautiful jewellery on their earlobe its important that the shape and size of the lobe is proportional and youthful.
