Open Rhinoplasty

External rhinoplasty surgery is performed where an incision is made accross the base of the nose.  The skin is elevated off the tip of the nose all the way up to the bridge.  This approach provides the surgeon with a view of the cartilage structures of the tip and the bridge.  This technique is used by Dr Solomon Facial Cosmetic Surgeon Head and Neck Surgeon in Toronto Canada for select cases. In Dr Solomons practice this approach is utilized for severely twised noses,  complex revision rhinoplasty surgery and certain nasal tip reshaping rhinoplasty procedures.
