Hylaform Treatment

Hylaform viscoelastic gel is made from a natural material that provides support and cushioning within the skin. Hylaform restores smoothness by replacing this material (hyaluronan) which has been lost with age.

Because it is similar to your naturally-occurring hyaluronan, there is no need to have a skin test before treatment. Hylaform viscoelastic gel "fills" and smoothes facial lines Having a Hylaform gel treatment is not like cosmetic surgery or laser resurfacing. The procedure is quick and simple; a treatment may take as little as 30 minutes.

With Hylaform gel, the results are immediate and there is little or no recovery time. Many patients report that the treatment is quite comfortable. Others notice some discomfort during treatment which ordinarily quickly resolves.

Hylaform gel is introduced just under the skin's surface through a very fine needle. It is injected at intervals along the line until the right amount of correction has been achieved. the treated area is then massaged gently to smooth the surface. Hylaform gel can be used to "fill" and smooth out smile lines, crows' feet, frown lines, worry lines, acne scars, small lines around the lips and some other facial lines. Hylaform gel can also be used to treat the border of the lips. This can add definition to the lip border for those who desire a fuller look.

Because Hylaform gel is similar to the components of your own skin, it will gradually break down and be naturally absorbed by your body.

Even if you have sensitive skin, or have had a reaction to a treatment with a different skin product, you may still be able to be treated with Hylaform gel.

The Restylane treatment

The treatment takes about 3o minutes and the result is prompt. When treating wrinkles, pain relief is usually not needed but can be easily achieved. The treated area can be slightly swollen and red for I2-24 hours.

When Restylane is injected into the skin, the wrinkle is lifted.
